The Caribbean Sharpnose Puffer (Canthigaster rostrata) is a relatively small fish that lives in the shallow waters of the Caribbean usually on coral reefs, but are also sometimes found in seagrass beds. These fish are usually found on the back reef, reef flat, and fore reef zones of the coral reef. Pufferfish are so named because of their ability to inflate their bodies as a defence against predators.
